The "Pescatore Holiday House" is located in the heart of Passignano at about 50 m from the lake.

The house, which is on a 3 floor level, was totally refurbished in 2003 and comprehends 6 apartments each having its own entrance.

Each apartment has been decorated in a typical rustic way and styled with hand-forged iron beds and cotto floors.

The guests of Pescatore can also benefit from a communal outdoor space for barbecues.

The Apartments

In the heart of the ancient town square, at the bottom of the Passignano Castle, the Trattoria del Pescatore, established in the old mill house once belonging to the Cappuccini frairs, welcomes tourists as once it used to welcome the local fishermen after a hard day of work and expectations.

For more than 50 years Emma then and now Renata prepare delicious lake-fish and meat specialities for their guests who are geated by the whole family with the same cordiality typical of "Del Pescatore".


Antipastissimo translates to “Elaborate Appetizer” in English. It refers to a delightful assortment of appetizers that includes marinated eel roll, perch bruschetta, carp-stuffed baked potato, smoked tench salad, and carp croquettes.

Grilled Royal Perch

This exquisite dish is served with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil (DOP) from the Trasimeno hills, making it one of the most delicate offerings in our cuisine.

Eel with Trasimeno Bean Stew

This dish, highly sought after at the Trattoria, is cooked in the traditional clay pot with reduced tomato sauce. It pairs beautifully with the renowned Fagiolina del Trasimeno (DOP).

Royal Carp in Porchetta

This dish, a cult favorite at the restaurant, is still prepared using Nonna Emma’s recipe. It is slow-cooked in the oven and “pillottata” (wrapped) with a mixture of lard, sage, rosemary, and wild fennel. The result is a unique and original combination of earthy aromas and flavors of freshwater. Buon appetito!

Grand Trasimeno Ring

The route of this loop around the lake, which will allow us to get to know the entire area from original viewpoints, passing through villages, countryside and picturesque stretches of coastline, runs for long stretches along the cycle path, partly on a mixed track.


We start out from Passignano sul Trasimeno and pedal in the direction of Perugia, approaching the lake, almost touching it, at the height of the ferry dock for the Maggiore and Polvese islands. We continue, alternating between asphalt and dirt road to the road that goes towards Umbertide-Lisciano Niccone and Castel Rigone.
